Watching the Denver Broncos finish this season is like watching a first place marathoner finally give into his pain with only half a mile left as he is trying to limp across the finish line with his spot intact. The San Diego Chargers are like the equally beat up second place runner who is just close enough that he might be able to overtake first place if he gets enough of a second wind. Except move the two contenders back a few places and say they are fighting for the last spot on the podium. That is what the AFC West looks like. Coach Mike Shanahan banned players from watching the game after his team saw San Diego comeback from behind and seemed to lose some of the drive in their game against the Carolina Panthers,customized bobbleheads.
